Tulsa, OK – Nov. 11, 2025 – Google has provided $200,000 to Atlas School students in Tulsa, enabling more than 100 aspiring technologists to pursue careers in the fast-growing tech sector.
The funding will be used to cover tuition and support for students enrolled in Atlas’s immersive software engineering programs. Atlas prepares students to start careers in software engineering, data, and emerging technologies through its project-based curriculum and strong ties to industry.
“Thanks to Google’s generosity, over one hundred Atlas students have already been able to take their first steps toward a future in technology,” said Libby Ediger, Executive Director of Atlas. “This support has an immediate impact—not just on individual students, but on Tulsa’s broader effort to build a thriving, inclusive tech economy.”
The initiative is part of Google’s broader commitment to the Sooner state to equip students and the local workforce with the critical AI and job-ready skills they need to seize the opportunities AI presents. The company recently announced a two-year $9 billion investment in the state, including the development of a new data center in Stillwater and the expansion of the existing facility in Pryor. That investment is expected to create new jobs while strengthening U.S. infrastructure for artificial intelligence, cloud services, and digital innovation. Beyond physical infrastructure, Google is investing in workforce development programs to ensure Oklahomans have access to the skills and opportunities that accompany the state’s growing role in the digital economy.
By supporting Atlas students, Google is connecting its statewide investments to local talent pipelines. Scholarship recipients at Atlas include recent high school graduates, career-changers reskilling for tech, and first-generation students pursuing opportunities in fields that drive Oklahoma’s future economy.
“We want to make sure that the opportunities created by AI are accessible to students right here in Oklahoma,” said Jessica Forman, Community Development Manager at Google. “By supporting Atlas School, we’re helping build a homegrown workforce that is equipped with the critical, job-ready skills needed to lead the next wave of local innovation.””
