Meet Ben Sbanotto and hear about his experiences here at Holberton.
Ben: About 5 years ago when I was working as an engineer in manufacturing I got to work on a tech-adjacent project to implement a global product management software. When I wanted to change careers, I looked back on this project fondly, so that helped point me in the direction of coding. I've also always enjoyed the rigor and logic that comes with programming. Our code doesn't always do what we want it to do, but it always does what we asked it to.
Ben: I am in the Machine Learning curriculum. I chose this because I have a strong math background and I expected this to be a challenging subject to learn, and I wasn't disappointed! The recent explosion in AI has me excited about the future of the field because as it becomes more accessible, the diversity of individuals in that professional space should lead to some exciting and creative solutions.
Ben: My favorite thing about Holberton is the Peer Learning environment. Getting to work with different peers on a diverse set of projects cultivates a great culture and has allowed me to gain practical experience to prepare for the "real world" much more effectively than a traditional university or bootcamp.
